We have a great opportunity for an apprentice to join our fun and friendly team at RAC Saddle Club (RACSC). RACSC is a British Horse Society (BHS) approved training, riding, assessment centre, livery yard & British Eventing venue, based in Bovington, Dorset near the Purbeck coast. We are also a registered charity providing physical fitness through equitation for armed forces and the community and improving the quality of life of people with disabilities.
This is the perfect position for school leavers who wants to further their riding career and get a more in depth understanding of horses, eventing and horse care. We have teamed up with Haddon Training who will be the training provider. Applicants will need to have and understanding of basic horse care and some riding experience would be a bonus.
The apprenticeship role will provide practical training on the job in day to day yard duties, horse care and ridden training as well as opportunities to join other courses to increase your knowledge.
The apprenticeship will include –
- BHS Training & Assessments paid for by RACSC
- Possibility of bringing your own horse but depends on ability
- 5-day week (which will include a Saturday or Sunday)
- Regular training by BHSI performance Coach, Stephanie Buchanan
- Some exercising and hacking available
