After 11 days of intensive, round-the-clock care at Endells Horse Hospital, our beloved club horse, Gorgeous George, is finally home. While he is still on the road to recovery, he is now safe, comfortable, and surrounded by the dedicated team who love and care for him.
We are overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of our members, supporters, and the wider community. Thanks to your support, George was able to receive the urgent medical treatment he so desperately needed.
A special mention goes to Laurie, a student at RAC Saddle Club through our Alternative Education Provider programme, who generously donated his Christmas money to George’s GoFundMe page. Laurie’s thoughtfulness is a shining example of the spirit of our community.
We also extend our thanks to the students from Wey Valley Academy, part of the BHS CLTH Programme, for creating the wonderful Welcome Home banner for George. It provided a heartwarming greeting that lifted the spirits of everyone at the yard.
Finally, we are incredibly grateful to the equine medical team, the nurses, the Bovy supporters, and all the Pony Club children who adore George. Your care, support, and dedication have made a real difference.
We will continue to provide updates to the George Fan Club as he continues his recovery, and we are hopeful that he will not require surgery.
